Spoonman’s Review is not related in any way to Artis the Spoonman. however, my nickname is directly linked to “the best spoonplayer in the whole damn universe”. Artis became famous in Romania when he featured in Soundgarden’s Grammy Award-winning song bearing his name. Spoonman also happens to be, unsurprisingly enough, the exact english translation of my family name. the idea of having my name translated and turned into a highschool nickname belongs to Clau, a great romanian fan of Soundgarden and Artis.
